| Do cellulite/stretch marks go away if you lose weight?

Cellulite is affected by weight loss, but losing weight will not totally eliminate cellulite. Once the fat cell develop, they will never disappear. During the weight loss process, fat cells may shrink down and collapse, but they are never completely eliminated naturally from the body. On the other hand, stretch marks that remain after weight loss are common. In fact, many people get stretch marks from losing weight or gaining weight. When your body goes through weight loss or gain, your skin responds by quickly shrinking or stretching. When this happens, the elastin and collagen in your skin can rupture, resulting in stretch marks.
