Acne
Acne is a skin condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It occurs when the hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells, resulting in pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and other types of skin blemishes. Although acne is most common in teenagers, it can affect people of all ages and can be a source of embarrassment and low self-esteem. |

Causes of Acne
There are many factors that can contribute to the development of acne. Hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, or menopause can cause an increase in oil production, leading to clogged pores. Genetics can also play a role in the development of acne, as some people are simply more prone to it than others. |
Other factors that can contribute to the development of acne include stress, poor diet, and certain medications. Some people may also be sensitive to certain skincare products, which can aggravate their acne. |
If you constantly have acne break outs around your jawline, neck, and back (areas where your hair frequently comes into contact with skin), it's very likely that these are caused by the hair products that you are using as some ingredients in the shampoos and conditioners can clog the pores such as jojoba oil, shea butter , cocoa butter and so on. |

FAQ
Are my existing skincare products good for my skin? |
Kindly bring your current skincare products along on your first visit. Our doctors will review the products and their contents to determine if there are any chemicals or ingredients that may be the cause of acne or aggravating it. They will advise you accordingly and tailor a treatment plan that is well-suited to your skin condition.
Is my acne a result of hormonal imbalance? |
Hormonal changes or hormonal imbalances are a common cause of acne. Our doctor will assess your unique skin condition and formulate an acne treatment course based on the cause.
How many times should I wash my face to treat acne? |
While some people wash their faces too frequently, others neglect it, perhaps only washing it once a day. Neither is beneficial. One of the keys to treating acne is doing precisely what is necessary. Our doctors will share more acne skincare tips and acne prevention tips with you upon your first visit.
How soon will I see treatment results? |
Treating acne can be different for each individual, but patience is key. Generally, it can take up to four to six weeks to see good improvement after you begin treatment.
